Alhamdu lillaahil ladhi
Ahyaana ba’da maa amaatana
Wa ilayhin nushoor
Shukr (thankfulness) is by action. So, let’s be thankful to Allah [SWT] first thing in the morning that he gave us the opportunity to live another day.
Wa lillahil hamd.
Translation:
All praise and thanks is for Allah Who
Gives us life after He caused us to die (i.e. sleep)
And to Him is the final return (i.e. after death)
