Daily Guidance on Facebook
Bismillah. 
This is an excellent intitiative on Facebook: a Facebook fan page that provides reminders from the Qur’an and Sunnah. It’s called Daily Guidance, click to check it out.
Some of the things that I really like about this idea:
1. Mailing lists/forwards get really annoying since they are often unwanted. Daily Guidance uses the fan page updates, which show up on the Facebook homepage, so I can read the reminders at my convenience.
2. There is a limit on the characters in Facebook fan page status updates. So you don’t have to read a lot to get a good reminder.
3. Let’s face it: there is a lot of time wasting and fitnah on Facebook. Being reminded of Allah and His Messenger really helps in this situation.
4. Spreading the khair is easy! Just click “Like”. The khair actually spreads virally.
